‘Horrible to see your child in so much pain’
Sven Spaans
Sven was diagnosed with post-traumatic dystrophy in his right foot and leg. He badly bruised his big toe during a football match. The result was that from the end of January he was on our couch for 4 weeks, unable to walk and unable to wear a sock or shoe on his foot.
He had touch and nerve pain from his big toe all over his foot and leg to his right hip. Even the slightest breath of air was painful for him. We had to transport him to the hospital in a semi-lying position because he could no longer sit up. Then you can still be so down to earth, as a parent you don’t want that for your child or for as little time as possible! His and our entire vision of the future was turned upside down. Sven enjoyed playing football three times a week in the E1. He couldn’t do that anymore. It was also no longer possible to go to school. He was no longer mobile and Sven turned into an introverted boy.
I soon discovered that conventional medicine does not really know how this phenomenon occurs.
Let alone how to treat it. I really didn’t want a long, painful rehabilitation process for Sven. Reason for us to make an appointment with Wim after an extensive search for alternatives. Wim was kind enough to do the intake at our home because Sven had to travel 1.5 hour at that time. After ten treatments and four months later, Sven is happy and active again.
He has made enormous strides both mentally and physically.
He is happy again, chats nicely again, cycles again, can sit normally again, goes to school all day again and has started playing football again. We are confident that he will be able to train with his football team again after the big holidays: Sven’s dream is to become a professional football player.
Dare to go off the beaten track: your child is worth it!
You will immediately know at the intake whether Wim can help you. We have experienced ourselves that it works. Sven and I still don’t understand how he does it. That is not important, because we are above all very grateful that his treatments work. We are looking ahead again and can travel again.
Italy; we’re coming!
